In October 2025, we will join an extraordinary Moroccan adventure exploring the South Eastern Morocco jewellery trail, meeting the makers, traders and wearers, tracing their history and hearing their stories.
The rich cultural heritage of Morocco can be traced back thousands of years. For centuries the country has hosted travellers and traders who have continued to leave their mark on the Arab, African and Indigenous Amazigh people. On this magnificent 15 day Southern Moroccan adventure and socially conscious tour, you will have a chance to engage with the makers, listen to fascinating lectures, hear the stories of the wearers and cajole with the traders. As we travel, daily prompts and exercises given by your creative facilitator, writer Jan Cornall will allow you to bring a special focus to your journey. A four day creative retreat at our final destination in Agadir will provide instruction, direction and inspiration for creating a significant creative work from your experience. Our tour manager Jess Stephens, a resident of Sefrou, has worked closely with local artisans for 18 years, supporting their craft and promoting intercultural exchange with western artists through artist residency programs. Previous Morocco adventurers will remember Jess from week one of our Moroccan Caravan journeys. We will also be accompanied by a local guide and expert.
