A creative immersion in collaboration with The Create Escape and Luisa Donati.
Daily creativity workshops at our seaside hotel, offer inspiration and guidance for your creative work. As we immerse ourselves in the island’s healing thermal waters, we do a deep dive into our work, employing creative journaling, paper art and collage to further our creative goals. An ideal environment to bring the senses into your writing and art making.
We will also take inspiration from the historic and artistic atmosphere of our base, Il Monastero Castello, a former sixteenth century convent perched on a tiny rock island off the Port of Ischia. It is here in 1970 to 2005, the Italian artist Gabriel Mattera and his graphic designer wife Karin, established a home and studio as well as exhibition space for Italian and international artists. The artisan studios, gardens, architecture and spectacular island views will give more fuel to our artistic expression.
We begin the journey in city of Naples. Staying 2 x nights in a central hotel and catch a ferry across to the island of Ischia. We will stay at Il Monastero for 5 nights, 6 days. You’ll be progressing and discussing your creative project on a daily basis while soaking in the healing thermal waters of the Mediterranean. An ideal environment to bring the senses into your writing and art making.
This event is suitable for writers, artists, beginner or professional, looking for support and inspiration. You have the option to start a new project, revitalise an old one or simply capture the experience in your chosen art form. Feel free to discuss this with us before we begin the journey.
